Searcy Family Health Professions Scholarship Endowment
Joan Searcy was a force for good whose kindness and dedication touched countless lives. When Ascension Seton Hays opened its doors in 2009, Joan and her husband, Tom, were among the very first to volunteer. Over the years, Joan gave more than 2,300 hours of service, offering comfort, compassion, and a welcoming smile to patients, families, and staff.
In 2014, Joan and Tom created the Searcy Family Health Professions Scholarship Endowment. This endowment provides scholarships to Ascension Seton Hays associates pursuing the education they need to begin or advance a career in healthcare.
To date, it has awarded 38 scholarships, empowering caregivers to follow in Joan’s footsteps of service and compassion.
